Michael Rampe joined the Broadband Association of Michigan as General Counsel in 2023. In the role of General Counsel, Rampe oversees all legal matters for BAM, providing guidance on corporate governance, compliance, risk management, and legal strategy to the association and its member companies. He also works closely with the association’s public policy team to help secure state and federal laws that help the association’s members provide robust, affordable and reliable broadband services to consumers.

Prior to joining BAM, Mike spent 23 years of working in Michigan utility regulation, having previously held key legal positions at Consumers Energy, and the Miller Canfield and Loomis Ewert law firms. He also served as a clerk to the Honorable Peter D. O’Connell as well as serving as a research clerk at the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Mike graduated from University of Michigan, B.A., with honors and high distinction, and earned his J.D. degree at the Michigan State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude.
