Joelle Demand joined the Broadband Association of Michigan as its Vice President - Public Policy in April 2021. 

Joelle has more than twenty years of proven experience developing and implementing successful strategies to achieve favorable legislation and policy outcomes. Prior to joining the association, Joelle was the Majority Floor Operations Manager for the Michigan House of Representatives. In that role, Joelle oversaw a large portfolio of responsibilities designed to foster bipartisan support and cooperation. Joelle also served as a senior policy advisor in the House and as the legislative director for the former chairman of the Senate Technology & Energy Committee.

Joelle’s private sector experience includes lobbying for the Michigan Bankers Association, where she was a leader in building collaborative relationships within the banking industry.

Joelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Alma College and a Master of Public Administration degree from East Carolina University.
